Doris Marlene Wagner

Doris was born in Mansfield, OH. She grew up in East Sparta, Ohio, and graduated from East Sparta High School where she was active in majorettes and cheerleading. Several years of volunteering and traveling for the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps. Doris was a member of the Greenwood Christian Church, where she sang in the choir. She was a seamstress, cook and a member of the Bluecoats Hall of Fame. Doris enjoyed bowling, baking, watching sports, sewing, camping, traveling on motorcycle trips, reading, taking care of her family, and spending lots of time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Irma and John Finlayson; sister, Patricia Norton; and infant daughter, Kathy. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Tom Wagner; children, Cynthia Shaffer, and Matthew (Trish) Wagner; grandchildren, Stephanie (Jacob) Sutton, and Bryttanie Zimmerman; great grandchildren, Rylee Sutton, and Emma Zimmerman; sister, Joni Varansky; brother, Jan Finlayson; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Greenwood Christian Church, 4425 Frazer Ave. NW, Canton, OH 44709. The family will greet friends and relatives following the celebration at the church.
