Stephen Lawrence Cohen of Wimauma, FL, formerly of Stoughton, Sharon, Roxbury and Newton, died on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 84 years of age. Son of the late Dorothy N. (Rosenberg) and Samuel Z. Cohen. Beloved father of Randy Cohen and his wife Tammy of Parrish, FL and Todd Cohen and his wife Ieva of Derry, NH. Cherished grandfather of Oliver and Jupiter. Devoted brother to Judy Miller.
Stephen was born in Boston on August 7, 1940. He grew up in Roxbury and was a proud alumnus of Boston Latin School. He was previously married to his wife Annette, and they raised two sons, Todd and Randy. In his early career he ran a produce division of Stop and Shop in South Boston for 22 years. In 1982 he created his own successful produce company, Cambridge Farms, which he took immense pride in. The produce industry was his passion. Stephen took great pride in his children and would always have a commanding presence at either Randy’s hockey games or Todd’s tennis matches. He was a car enthusiast and was meticulous about taking care of his cars. He was an avid New England Patriots fan and even had season tickets to the old Foxboro stadium, never complaining about those old metal bleachers. He enjoyed NASCAR and attended many Daytona 500’s. In 2012, he retired to Florida with his spouse Debby and became very active in his community. Stephen’s greatest joy was leading conversation, especially about his family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Friday, December 20 at 1 PM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton followed by interment at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon.
