Ronald H. Swartz

SWARTZ, RONALD H. of East Falmouth formerly of Taunton. Entered into rest February 12, 2013 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Lori (Lye) Swartz. Devoted father of Judi Raiff of Concord, Michael Swartz and his wife Theresa of Taunton, Charles Swartz of ME, Edward Swartz and his wife Doreen of North Dighton, and stepfather of Jennifer Brock and her husband Joseph, and Amy Berthelette and her husband Ray. Loving brother of Kenneth Swartz and his wife Barbara of FL. Cherished grandfather of Emily, Andrew, Nicole, Amanda, Evan, Matthew, Aaron, Nathan, Madisson, Heather, Nik, Meri, Nolan & Nason. Beloved uncle of many.

Ron was a life-long Tauntonian who owned and operated Swartz Office Supply. He held numerous roles within the community including 35+ years on the Taunton Redevelopment Authority and over 50 years on the Board of Congregation Agudath Achim. He was instrumental in the development of the Parking Commission in Taunton and was an active Board Member and supporter of the local theater group Star Players, making his stage debut as "The Deliveryman" in Barefoot in the Park. He was also a lifetime Rotarian.

Services will be held at Congregation Agudath Achim, 36 Winthrop Street, Taunton, MA on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Interment Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Taunton.

Memorial observance will be held on Thursday from 7:00-9:00 PM at the home of Ed & Doreen; on Friday from 2:00-4:00 PM at the home of Michael & Theresa; Sunday from 2:00-4:00 PM at the home of Judi and on Monday from 2:00-4:00 PM at his late residence.
