Trips to Mashnee Village on Cape Cod provided many opportunities to relax with family. It was where he taught his daughters to swim. One summer Robert had lined up many business appointments across the country. We had an adventure traveling by car to the west coast all together that summer. Robert was passionate about skiing, and he enjoyed weekend trips to Mount Snow Vermont with family and friends.
Robert wrote this about a year after the passing of his wife Reva:
“I remember the girl, not yet sixteen years of age, sitting on the curbstone at 104 Lawrence Ave. She smiled, I sat down beside her. That was the start of our 67 years together. Reva fought the war in Greensboro, Latrobe, Monroe, Fort Meyers, Chicopee, Charleston, San Antonio and Boston. I built a house for Reva. Reva built a home for us, our daughters and extended family. Reva made a life for me. A life of friendship, partnership, love and devotion. I remember Reva.”
In 2007, Robert met Joy Lewis and the past 15 years with Joy have brought much happiness, companionship and love to his life. Together they have enjoyed spending the winter months in Sarasota, Florida.
