Beloved wife of the late Arnold Martin Sherman for 40 years. Devoted and loving mother of Dr. David and Iris Sherman, Wendy and Lloyd Baron, Paul and Katie Sherman. Cherished grandmother of Adam and Alanah Sherman, Joseph and Alissa Sherman, and Scott Sherman; Lily Baron, Brett and Alina Baron, and Sadie and Alex Schlossberg; Samantha Sherman, Maxwell Sherman, and Cameron Sherman. Loving great-grandmother to Mason Schlossberg, Bentley Schlossberg, and Ronen Sherman. Loving aunt of Linda Needel Mandell, Deborah Horwitz, and Robert Goldner.
Naomi is predeceased her loving sister Marsha Goldner and her parents George and Helen (Abrams) Cohen.
Naomi Sherman lived a full 87 years. She was devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved fashion. Every day she was the most stylish woman; her outfits coordinated head to toe. She attended the Massachusetts College of Art but left her studies to help support her true love Arnold while he was attending Northeastern University. She was an interior decorator for years. Later, she opened Wendy’s Hallmark in Mattapan, a successful card, gift, and jewelry store loved by many. She changed her career to become a successful realtor so she could care for Arnold due to his illnesses for years. Her family brought her so much joy and happiness, her whole world. She was Nana to her grandchildren, but “Other Nana” to her great-grandsons Mason and Bentley. She would light up smiling and giggling with she heard the words “Other Nana.”
She was a wonderful cook and baker, always making our favorite dishes to enjoy - her way of sharing her love. She was a very determined, strong-willed, independent woman to the very end. She prided herself in never giving up even when life was hard to bear.
A true Mensch.
We love you so much and are going to miss you incredibly! We are happy you are at peace and in the arms of your beloved Arnold, dancing in heaven.
