It is with great sadness we announce the passing of John J. Penhaker. He was born February 28, 1938, in Mineola, NY and entered into rest on December 18, 2024. Late of Middletown, DE, he is survived by his loved and loving wife of 36 years, Marsha (Rosen) Penhaker formerly of Framingham, MA. Also surviving are his four children, of whom he was very proud; Debra Penhaker, Barbara Belansky, Robert Penhaker (Adriana) and Kevin Penhaker; grandson Cody and sister Bette Jean Burawa. He was the son of the late Elizabeth (Overeem) and John J. Sr.
John served in the Marines and had a storied career working at NASA during the Apollo Program, as the foreman in charge of testing for the Lunar Excursion Module. John was also an avid Yankees, Giants and Rangers fan.
A Funeral Chapel Service will be held Friday, December 27, 2024 at 10 AM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washinton Street, Canton. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, MA. A memorial gathering will be held immediately following services with details given at graveside.
