Beloved wife of the late Samuel Bazer. Devoted mother of Richard Bazer and his wife Gail, Joseph Bazer and his wife Nancy, and Sue Richardson and her husband John. Cherished grandmother of Robin Deukmajian (Arman), Robert Bazer (Valerie), David Bazer (Kristen), James Richardson (Gillian), and Daniel Richardson (Kate). Loving great-grandmother of six.
Jean was born in Boston to Louis and Celia (Burtman) Barsky. She was valedictorian of her class at Roxbury Memorial High School. Jean married Samuel in 1948, and together they raised their three children in Mattapan. Moving to Randolph in 1971, Jean excelled at her position at Quality Carpet as office manager and bookkeeper. She led an active life, learning to drive at age 55. For fun, Jean loved playing cards and Mah Jongg with friends, winning at bingo, visiting the casino, and traveling to Moodus in Connecticut. Her unforgettable recipes live on as cherished heirlooms. Above all, Jean was a lifelong nurturer whose family came first.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 22nd at 11:30 AM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton. Interment at Moses Mendelsohn Cemetery in Randolph.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Jean’s memory may be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
