Bertram Stephen Singer

He was born in the Bronx, NY on March 23, 1945, to Pauline and Morris Singer. He served in Vietnam, where he worked with guard dogs among other duties, and then worked at Pan Am Airways, which lead to a love of travel.

Bert was devoted to family and friends and enjoyed the school plays of his little cousins, Ben and Ellie. He loved all theater and often went to Broadway for shows as well. Bert was involved in his community, tutoring math for 3rd graders and participating in neighborhood clean-ups.

Bert is preceded in death by both parents and his siblings, Jennie Cintron and Sam Singer, and life-long partner and best friend Tom Gannon. He is survived by nephew Chris Cintron, niece Kelly Cintron, first cousins, Mindy Walters, Bonnie Brody, Len Dorfman, Melanie Feldstein, and Andrea Piccolo, as well as many second cousins including Samantha Chernoguz.

A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Monday, February 26, 2024, at Frederick W. Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 220 Brick Church Road, Spring Valley, NY.
