Barbara Oster

Beloved wife of Arthur Jack Oster. Devoted mother of Michael (Poyee) Oster and Daniel (Janet) Oster. Loving sister of M. Glee Snyder and the late Louise Snyder. Cherished grandmother of Sean (Thao) McKenna and Kayla Oster.

Barbara's first job was as a draftsman working on the Mass Pike project. She took great satisfaction from her work in the AIDS Program of MetroWest as a part-time assistant to the director. In later life, Barbara volunteered for about 20 years as a teacher's assistant in the 1st and 2nd grades.

Barbara enjoyed flower arranging and briefly worked as a florist. She also had a passion for making quilts which she gave to family members and donated to women's shelters.

Barbara took great pleasure in her world travels, visiting countries such as Israel, Egypt, and China.

Funeral services on Friday, July 15 at 1:00 PM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton.

Shiva will be on Sunday at 1:00 PM at Orchard Cove, 1 Del Pond Drive, Canton, MA.
