Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on November 26, 2014 at the age of 90, Mr. John “Jack” McLeod of Campbellton, husband of Maude Hayward. He was born on February 15, 1924 in St. Martin, NB, the fourth of four sons to the late Robert John McLeod and Effie Wood McLeod.
Jack was retired from the CNR where he had worked for 38 years. He was also a well known entrepreneur in Restigouche County for sixty years.
He is survived by his wife, Maude; his children, John jr., Pamela (Michael Moses) and Robert (Sylvia); two grand children and two great-grandchildren, step children, Sharon Bourque (Robert), Sylvia Vienneau and Alfred Vienneau (Nancy). He was predeceased by his first wife, Jessie Poley.
The funeral service was held at Maher’s Chapel, 64 Lansdowne Street, Campbellton, on Saturday November 29th at 2:00 pm with Rev. Douglas Phillips, from First Baptist Church, officiating.
Visitation at Maher’s Funeral Home, 33 Lansdowne St., Friday November 28 from 2-4 and 7-9 and on Saturday 1 hour before the funeral service.
