Jamie Andrew LaPointe

He passed away at home surrounded by his devoted and loving parents, Gary Lapointe and Peggy Roussie after a year-long courageous battle with Cancer.

Those who knew Jamie lost a shining light in their lives. Throughout his life he had two great passions which were sports and video gaming. He was also an avid lifelong fan of the Montreal Canadians. The weekends will always be fondly remembered for hockey and watching Nascar with Jeff Gordon.

He is survived and will be very much missed by his parents Gary LaPointe and Peggy Roussie, and his sister Meaghan, his maternal grandmother Shirley Roussie, his paternal step grandmother Annette LaPointe , his uncles Ricky (Deborah), Troy (Treena), John (Bernadette), Cory (Tania), his aunts Debbie (Jean), Judy (Randy), Fay, Candy (Mike), as well as numerous cousins. He will also be lovingly remembered by his great aunt Sandy Wade and Cousin Crystal Wade who were a huge part of his life. Jamie was pre-deceased by grandfathers Earl Louis Roussie and Leander LaPointe and grandmother Deanna LaPointe (Hamilton) and aunt Judy Roussie and uncle Earl Louis Roussie Jr. Jamie will be as loved in Heaven as well as he was loved here on earth. He will also be missed by the family cat, Spunky, which he loved very much.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic and social distancing protocols, the funeral will be held a later date to be announced.

The family would like to thank the George Dumont Hospital, Victoria General Hospital, Moncton City Hospital and Campbellton Regional Hospital and all the staff for their wonderful care. A very special thank you to Extramural Palliative Program for making it possible for Jamie’s last wish to be fulfilled.

Donations can be made to the SPCA and Tree of Hope in lieu of flowers.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
