Dad was born in Vancouver . The family moved from Steveston to Bones Bay Cannery in 1940, starting a lifelong connection of growing up and working in the Minstrel Island area. Logging, fishing and all the other Jack of all trades jobs it took to live upcoast . Dad told me that his favourite job was working for the Walden Bros sawmill on Craycroft Island . His admiration and respect for the Walden family was immense . By 1982 Dad & Mom had moved to Sayward . Dad was the driving force in the family , always taking the many projects on full bore . Dad taught me so much throughout my life , and was always the first one to do anything to help his many friends and family .
Dad was pre deceased by Mom, Marilyn (nee Wilson) in 2014 and partner Fran Hoolsema in 2023.
He is survived by his son Robert & Nancy, as well as Tim Critchley.
He is very much loved and will be missed dearly .
