I first met Brian Russell Ronnie Perkins way Back in grade nine at old Caria High School. During the next four years until we graduated we were all great friends and usually all ways together.  Spent time with Brian and Russ in Sea Cadets which they were both a great supporter of
After graduation I spent a career in the RCMP in Alberta and lost track of both Brian and Russ

So Brian you were always bigger than life and a true friend and will greatly missed.

I last saw Brian a couple of years ago during a Remembrance Day parade in Campbell River; as I had spent many years in Halifax, it was a nice opportunity to chat with him and briefly catch up on how he had been doing.  He was as much a friend as a mentor to many of us during our cadet years and it was that mentor ship that helped me decide to join the Canadian Forces.  Rest in peace.

Brian was a mentor to me during my time in Sea Cadets 35 years ago. He has left his mark on many young men and women that were lucky enough to have him as an officer. Smooth sailing and a following sea, Brian.

Brian was my uncle and I loved him very much!  He was a year older than my mum and they were pretty close, although they only saw each other every few years since we live so far away.  He had a really dry, sarcastic humor (sometimes a little inappropriate!) and wouldn't stand for any BS from anyone, including family.  He was so smart, it was like talking to an encyclopedia.  I loved talking to him.  He taught me a lot about our family history. I thought he was on the road to recovery when he got sick and quickly passed away. I was making plans to come and visit him and am so sad that I missed my opportunity.  He will be greatly missed.
