Hilda M. Eck

We are sad to announce the passing of Hilda M. Eck, 83, of Enola, PA, on Thursday August 10, 2023.

Hilda was born on June 25, 1940 in Steelton, PA to the late Joseph and Hilda (Bashore) Mata. She graduated from Steelton Highspire High School and worked for the Dept. of Revenue for 35 years.

She was preceded in death by her son, Harold J. Eck; and four sisters, Arlene, Marion, Virginia and Martha.

Surviving Hilda are her sisters, Josephine Beers and Angeline Fink; two grandchildren, Lauren and Taylor Eck, and several nieces and nephews.

Hilda liked to go to the casino and take her bus trips to New York City with her friend Sandy. She also enjoyed line dancing at the senior center and to travel, her favorite place to visit being Hawaii.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday August 17, 2023 at Neill Funeral Home; 3401 Market Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
