David Lee Manley, 77, of Wormleysburg, passed away Friday, March 19, 2010 in Harrisburg Hospital. He was born in Altoona, PA; son of the late James C. and F. Louise (Moran) Manley, and was preceded in death by his wife, Roseann.
He graduated from Williamson Trade School, in Media, PA in 1952, and was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. Returning home, he began his career in the chemical distribution business and in 1963, he became co-founder of Manley – Regan Chemical Co., in Middletown. Upon his retirement in 1997, he spent much of his time at Bluebird Hill, his cabin in the mountains.
He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, the West Shore Country Club, and enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing with his family and friends.
Surviving is his wife, Barbara Stewart Manley; children, Vanessa Hart, (Wayne), Lawrence P. Manley, Theresa Manley, Julianne Aiello, (David), David L. Manley ll, (Jill); grandchildren, Bryan DePalma, wife, Beth, son, Colin, Brett DePalma, Christopher Aiello, Joseph Aiello, Jessica Hart, Brittany Hart, and Arianna Hart; step grandchildren, Shawn Aiello, wife, Tabitha, and sons, Staci Aiello Hoke and family; mother-in-law, Maryann Stewart; sister-in-laws, Patti Wunderlin and Betsy Klipple, and families.
A visitation will be held 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Monday, March 22, 2010 in the Neill Funeral Home, 3401 Market St., Camp Hill. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 23, 2010 in Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 3435 Trindle Rd., Camp Hill. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
