Menites, Andros Island, Greece on August 30,1935, she was the daughter of John and Constance
Psaltis. She emigrated to the United States with her grandmother at the age of 10, following the
end of World War II, where she was reunited with her parents and younger brother. She
completed high school at The Harrisburg Academy, where she felt great pride in learning the
English language.
In 1959, Asimina married her husband and began a lifelong, loving devotion to her family and
loved ones. She was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral and was active
in St. Catherine’s Philoptochos Society. As a wife, mother, grandmother, and first mate on their
boat, she taught many life lessons and skills. Asimina had many talents in addition to helping run
the family business. She was a passionate artist, musician, and singer and loved to garden, plant
flowers, and always cook for everyone. Her compassion for others never went unnoticed.
Asimina is survived by her husband of 62 years, Constantinos; two daughters, Connie Kokos
(Gus) and Mosca Kalathas (Ted); four grandchildren, Mina May (Matt), Yianni Kokos (Rachel),
Tina and Tessie Kalathas; two great-grandsons, James and Nico May; brother, Nickolas Psaltis;
and nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held at 10:00 am followed by funeral services at 11:00 am on Monday,
September 13, 2021 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Burial will be at East Harrisburg
Cemetery. For those unable to attend, the funeral will be live-streamed from Holy Trinity Camp
Hill’s website. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox
Cathedral.
