It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Maria Montuoro at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on May 25, 2022 at the age of 79. Beloved wife of Settimio "Sam" Montuoro for almost 61 years. Loving mother to Marcello (Gillian), Antonietta (Jamie), Marisa (Kevin) and Luigi who is holding her hand in heaven. Cherished Nonna to Elaine (Vlad), Lisa, Ella and Theo. Predeceased by her parents Vito and Teresa Mazzuca. Dear sister to the late Anna (Guiseppe), Josephine (Vincenzo), Gino (Tiziana) and many brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews. Her love and dedication to her family was her number one priority. She opened her heart and home and became a second mom/grandma to many. She will be greatly missed by everyone. We wish God didn't need you in heaven because we still need you here. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Alzheimer Society of Canada.
Visitation for Maria will be held Monday, May 30, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at T. Little Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Cambridge. Vigil prayers will be at 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Church, 210 South St., Cambridge, on Tuesday at 11:00 am. Entombment will follow at Marymount Cemetery, 5400 Highway 6, in Guelph.
