John Joseph Byrne

Passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Friday May 1st, 2015 in his 83rd year after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his loving wife Mary (2005). Loving father of Jim and his wife Marie, Karen, Jackie and her husband Frank Derks, John Jr. and his wife Mary all of Cambridge. Cherished Poppy of Lee, Marcy, Peter (Tiffany), Frank Jr. (Shannon), Christopher (Tara), Meagan, Anthony and Cassandra. Great-Poppy of Liam, Jackson, Leila, Rio and Kayleigh. Survived by sister Geneveive Byrne. Predeceased by his parents James and Lucy Byrne, sisters Mary Galway, Ann Mercer and Veronica Ezekiel, brothers Edward and Jeremiah Byrne. Retired in 1998 from Walker Exhaust. A quiet gentle man who will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. The family will receive friends at the T. Little Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 223 Main Street, Cambridge, Ontario N1R 1X2 (519) 623-1290 on Sunday May 3, 2015 and Monday May 4, 2015 from 6-9 pm. Rosary will be on Monday at 8 pm at the Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, 210 South Street, Cambridge on Tuesday May 5, 2015 at 10 am. Entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, 620 Governor’s Road, Paris, Ontario. A special thank you to CCAC Palliative Medical Team and Cambridge Memorial Hospital Medical Day Care Staff.
