Born in Saint Fabien de Panet, Quebec on December 13, 1948 and passed away at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the age of sixty-nine.
Survived by his loving wife, Lydia, son Regis (Jennifer), daughter Laura (Gregory) Crozier, and grandchildren, Dylan, Aline, Jakob, Brielle, Elric, and Luc. Also survived by his brothers and sisters, Lauraine, Real, Regis, Lina (Bruce) Heath, Richard (Lisa), many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great niece and nephew. Fondly remembered by brothers and sisters-in-law Leandre Bilodeau, Larry Whitelaw, Gerald (Marie) Bilodeau, Aline (Douglas) Collison, Yvan Bilodeau, Madonna Bilodeau, Yvette Bilodeau, Rene (Lorraine) Bilodeau. Predeceased by his father Telesphore Dugal (1979), mother Annie (2007), brother Elric (1998), mother-in-law Ange-Aimee, father-in-law Henri Bilodeau and brothers-in-law Normand Bilodeau, Dennis Bilodeau and Neil Byrne and sisters-in-law Colette Bilodeau, Paulette Whitelaw and Veronica Bilodeau.
Germain was a dedicated employee of Canadian General Tower (CGT Limited) in Cambridge from 1967 to his retirement in 2014. A cherished spectator of his grandchildren's youth hockey and baseball as well as an avid listener at piano recitals. He had a love for horses which he shared with his brother Elric. Germain loved to sing and play guitar and take long country drives to be by the water.
To honour Germain’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Ambrose Church, 210 South Street, Cambridge on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation.
