Dean was a devoted father, a cherished brother, a beloved friend, and a man whose light touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. He leaves behind his children, Makayla, and twins Quinn and Seth Cabral, who were his greatest source of joy and pride. Dean’s love for his children was boundless, and they will forever carry the memory of his wisdom, laughter, and unwavering support.
Dean is also survived by his brother, Ricardo Cabral, and his wife, Aleana; his sisters, Ana Cabral and her life partner, Bryan O’Brien, and Maria Falcao, and her husband, Victor. He was a loving uncle to Tiffany Falcao, Alicia Snell (Ben Snell), Ty Cabral, Santos Cabral, Brayden Hastings and Keana Hastings, all of whom held a special place in his heart. Dean’s love for his family extended beyond words—he was a family man through and through. He believed in treating each person with kindness and understanding, always meeting them where they were and offering the support they needed. As a brother, uncle, and cousin, Dean created bonds that will be treasured forever.
Dean was predeceased by his parents, Armando Boto and Eduarda Maria Cabral, whom he held in the highest regard, forever grateful for their love and the foundation they provided.
A passionate lover of music, Dean’s guitar and voice were constant companions in his life. His infectious energy lit up every room he walked into, and when he played, it was as if his soul spoke directly to yours. Music was not just something Dean enjoyed—it was how he connected with the world and spread joy to those around him. Whether he was singing a favorite tune or strumming his guitar, Dean had a way of bringing people together, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Dean’s friendships were the kind that people dream of—deep, enduring connections that spanned decades. He formed bonds that stood the test of time, living and breathing in his community throughout his life. His friends and family will remember the joy he brought to every gathering, whether through a heartfelt conversation, a shared laugh over a beer, or simply the warmth of his presence.
Dean’s life was a testament to love—love for his family, his friends, and for life itself. He believed in the power of unconditional love and lived it every day. Those who knew him will remember his generosity, his wisdom, and his ability to find the good in every situation. His kindness, strength, and positive outlook will continue to inspire everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Dean is also remembered with deep affection by his former wife, Dianna Paz, with whom he shared many meaningful years and a bond of mutual respect as they raised their three beautiful children together.
He will be profoundly missed by all whose lives he touched, including his large extended family. Among these connections, his friendship with Mary Lahey held a special place in his heart. Mary was not just a friend but a steadfast companion through life’s ups and downs, offering unwavering support. Alongside Mary, Dean’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, through stories shared, laughter remembered, and the love he spread wherever he went. Dean was blessed with a few incredibly close friends who were like family to him- relationships built on mutual respect, shared secrets, stories and countless memories. These friendships were a testament to the kind of person Dean was: open-hearted, genuine, and deeply loyal. He was the kind of friend who made you feel seen, heard and loved. And that will continue to enchain the hearts of those were fortunate enough to share in his life. Fly with the Angels, Dean and may you be granted the peace and joy of eternity.
Visitation will be held at Coutts Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 96 St Andrews Street, Cambridge on Thursday, October 24th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Prayers at 3:45 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Patrick’s Parish, 53 Wellington Street, Cambridge on Friday, October 25th at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will take place at a later date.
