After a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, David Thomson passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the age of 76.
His quick sense of humour shined through until the end. David was a member of the Golden Triangle Marine Modelers Boat Club and worked at Lear Seating for 24 years, where he truly enjoyed being a millwright alongside a great bunch of guys. He was also passionate about woodworking, gardening, and caring for animals. David could spend hours feeding the chipmunks and birds in his backyard. He was a hard-working man, loved by many. David will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 54 years, Marjory Thomson, with whom he emigrated from Scotland in 1967. Lovingly remembered by his children Shona Ford and Craig Thomson (Gabrielle), and his grandchildren Scott Patterson (Sheridan), Laura Patterson, and Calvin Gordon. David was predeceased by his parents David and Catherine, and his sisters Morag and Joan. Cremation has taken place and there will not be a service at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Cambridge & District Humane Society would be appreciated.
