Betty was a beautiful, vibrant, strong, funny, honest, and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to cook for people, swim, travel, and help students at the local school. All around, she was just an awesome woman. She even went back to school at the age of 68 to get her high school diploma! Betty will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Robert Hogg, daughter Lana Hogg, son Jeff Hogg (Shelly), grandchildren Justin, Spencer, James, Kory, Tyler, and Austin Hogg, brother-in-law Tom Hogg, and many more extended family and friends. Betty was predeceased by her parents Alfred and Vera Detzler, her son Paul Hogg, two sisters, and three brothers. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private graveside service will be held at Parklawn Cemetery. In Betty’s memory, donations may be made to the Sick Kids Foundation or the Ontario Wildlife Foundation.
