Archibald "Archie" Ferguson

Peacefully passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at St. Andrews Terrace at the age of 83. Beloved Husband to Aileen of 59 wonderful years, loving Father to Michael (Debbie), Jo-Anne (Joe) Gurney and Janet (Greg) Clark, proud Grandpa to Rebecca, Benjamin, Mark, Matthew, David, Joshua (Bethany), Jacob, Meagan and Great-Grandpa to Naomi and Lea, dear Brother to Edith Horst and Mickey Dyer. Predeceased by his siblings: Helen, Jean, Velma, Freda and Harry. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his extended family and friends. Archie worked at Babcock and Wilcox as a draftsman for 42 years. He was active in his community and was a member of the Ancient Mariners Canoe Club, Swinging 8’s Square Dancing Club and a life member of the Knights of Columbus. Visitation will be held at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge (519-621-1650) on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 7-9pm, parish prayers will be recited at 8:30pm. A Funeral Mass will take place the following day on Friday, February 19, 2016 at St. Gregory’s RC Church, 10 St. Gregory’s Drive, Cambridge at 11am, interment to follow at Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Andrews Terrace or to the Alzheimer’s Society of Waterloo Wellington in Archie’s memory.
