Yvonne passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 27, 2022. She was born in China and lived in Hong Kong before immigrating to Canada in 1968 with her daughter Lisa (Kay). She welcomed another daughter Mona (Eugene). She was predeceased by her husband, Peter Chin.
Her family was always her priority, after early retirement she lived part-time in Thailand for 10 years to help raise her 2 beloved and treasured granddaughters, Kaitlyn (Trevor) and Jordan (Joel). In Thailand, she became an adoptive Poh Poh to Josh, Alex and Sebastian Weir. Cooking, feeding and caring for the five of them were her greatest pleasures.
We will remember the many sacrifices she made and how she always went the extra mile to take care of us. We will honor her by how we live our lives with a touch of feistiness, a bit of audacity, and a splash of tenacity, the special qualities that made her the amazing person she was.
