We were so sorry to hear of Dr. Whittaker's passing. Dr. Whittaker was our family dentist for two generations. He always took the time to discuss procedures and give us the opportunity to weigh the options with him. We also enjoyed the great chats on all sorts of topics. As our Mother advanced in years, Dr. Whittaker treated her with such care and gentleness, that he touched our hearts. So, even more than being a great dentist, he was a wonderful man. Our hearts go out to his family in their loss.

Dave and I were just so sad to hear of Wayne's premature passing. He was our wonderful dentist and we felt at a loss when he gave up his practice. He always discussed options and procedures with us and helped us make the best decisions concerning our care. Wayne's office was out of the way for us but getting there was more than worth the effort for the enjoyable chats and trusted care. We still miss him.

My thoughts are with you. Wayne was my dentist growing up. He made the dentist a good place to be as he was always welcoming and friendly. No doubt he'll be missed by many.

My sincere condolences and deepest sympathy go out to the Whittaker family.  Growing up I spent a ton of time at the Whittaker’s house.  From street hockey in their cul-de-sac, basketball in the back driveway, numerous house parties and sleepovers, the Whittaker’s was the house to be at. Dr. Whittaker was always genuine, generous and always making us laugh with his bright personality. It feels like yesterday we were in his basement listening to rap music, playing hockey and hanging out with friends. I will hold on to many great memories and pray you are in a better place with Colin. Rest In Peace. 

Deeply saddened to learn of Wayne’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers  are with Rose and family. I have so many great memories of Wayne at St. Francis High School, hockey, hanging out and our epic tennis matches. Wayne was always so humble, empathetic and caring- just a great guy to be around. Ann and I were very saddened to hear of Wayne's passing. He was our family dentist from the early 80's until his retirement. Our deepest condolences to the family.

Sorry to hear of Wayne's passing and my condolences to Rosemarie and family. Wayne and I played hockey together for the Rosemont midgets back in the late 60s. He was a great guy and from there we become friends. For a short time he was my dentist til I moved from Calgary back in the early 80s. I am glad to hear he was revered by so many people which is no surprise.

Wayne was truly one of the good guys and exemplified what a health care provider should be. His relationship with his patients speaks volumes about his approach to caring for them in the best sense of the word.
During dental school Wayne's focus was always on the good of the group and not himself.  He did serve as our class president and was the obvious selection for that role!
Dentistry has lost a great friend and practitioner.

It is with great sadness that I remember what a great person Dr. Wayne was on this earth. His devotion to his family is inspirational. To Rose, Janelle and all of his family know that he will always be with you in spirit. His way of living is a great example for all of us.
He always had the best interests of my daughters and I in his work. Now every time I see my daughters beautiful smiles I will think of Wayne.

This is such sad news.  Wayne was my Dentist from the early 80s until he retired.  A trip to his office became more of a visit with friends than a Dental appointment. Dr Whittaker was my dentist and friend for over 30 years.  He also took care of my family and our grand-kids.  We loved to visit, tell stories and share opinions and current affairs. Today is a very sad day for my family and I as we learned of the passing of a true gentleman, Dr. Whittaker, who was our neighbour, family dentist and true friend. Wayne had an impact in our lives for many years and we truly appreciate his kind heart and friendship throughout this time. Dr. Whittaker was a loving and compassionate, caring person with absolute integrity who will be truly missed! You will always be remembered, Wayne, as you were one of a kind! Wayne was my dentist for over twenty years! He was a lovely, interesting, caring man! Thoughts and prayers to his family!

We were very saddened this morning to hear of Wayne’s passing.
We’ve known him many years from the time our boys played hockey together when they were little.
As our family dentist for
Many years we’ve never found one to  compare to him.  There was never an uncomfortable day in his chair when he was beside you.
As our friends we enjoyed some great golf trips to BC  with Wayne & Rose filled with so much laughter.
There will be a huge void in the lives of many people without Wayne.

Dr. Whitaker was our family dentist for 30+ years, and we cherished and respected him immensely. He was such a kind, compassionate and sensitive man. I cannot speak more highly of him. We are so saddened by his passing at such a young age, he was such a blessing to everyone he encountered. My deepest condolences to Rose, Janelle and the rest of the family, on my behalf and my parents, who don't use computers to post a condolence. My mother said he saved her teeth for decades and she is so grateful for his kindness and expertise. My parents are both shocked and saddened by his passing and send you their love and deepest sympathies.

I only knew Dr. Whittaker as my dentist when I was growing up in Calgary,   he was dentist to our whole family, for decades,  and in that way he was a part of our family.  He was kind, interested, engaging, and expert - you could not ask for a better guy to be above the chair with a drill rotating at 200,000 rpm.  I'm really sad to hear he is gone, I'm sure his family will miss him.    My sincere condolences go out to them. 


I am truly saddened to read this.  Dr. Whitaker was my dentist for 30+ years.  He was my daughters only dentist up and until Wayne and Rose retired.  He was a kind hearted, honest man with a great sense of humour.  He always had a joke and we had many, many laughs over the years, first with Rose as his sidekick and then with Janelle.  My thoughts are with the entire family at this time.  Rest in Peace Wayne.

I knew Wayne  many years  ago.    We met during the summer of 1972 when we worked on an opportunities for youth summer job.   We dated for over a year.   We parted company as friends and always  loved hearing how the other was doing through mutual friends.    He loved you so much Rosie!   I am glad he had such a wonderful life with you.   He was a kind and gentle man .   He gave so much to so many!

I will greatly miss Uncle Wayne. He was such a funny, joyful man when I saw him in the dental office. Oh, that laugh! He was always interested in how and what I was doing and kept track of my progress in studies and life. A gentler, kinder sole you will never meet. Thanks, Uncle Wayne for the part you played in my life. I’ll think of you in the future with love.
