It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tit Sang “Tim” Kwong. Tim, age 80 Chinese years, died Wednesday, July 27, 2016 in his home of 34 years, surrounded by family and friends.
Born and raised in Toishan China, Tim was a talented carpenter who loved working with his hands. He married his wife Shuet Yin in 1971, the year they immigrated to Canada in hopes for a better future for him and his family.
Tim leaves behind his wife Shuet Yin; 4 children, Stephen, Roland (Annie), Olivia (Remo), and Keith (Joy); 6 grandchildren, Jacob, Jonah, Owen, Chloe, Daniel, and Jordana; and 3 siblings, Ken (Margaret), Lelia (Garry), and Lesley (Lily), and many Nephews and Nieces. He will forever be remembered as a wonderful husband, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. Tim was predeceased by his father, Kong Ying Kwong and mother, Kwai Chung Yee, and younger brother, Tit Sing Kwong.
A Visitation will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., a Graveside Service will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
