Stephanie Lynn Nelson

Stephanie is the very loved daughter of Tracey and Troy Nelson, and sister of Joshua Nelson. She is also the cherished fiancée of Brent Barnes, Granddaughter of Sylvia Nelson, Ruby & Rick Pearl and Byron Carton. Niece of Cathi Nelson, Dawn Nelson, Toby and Denis Babineau, and Laurie Carton and their families.

She was predeceased by her grandfather James Nelson, and cousin Laryssa Boyce.

Stephanie lived her life fully and always tried to find the joy and brightness within. She trained and was well respected as a Safety Coordinator and an Emergency Rescue Technician, loved the challenge of High Angle Rescue, for which she was highly respected.

Stephanie was an avid shopper with her mama and was learning to love gardening, and home making. Part of each day was spent walking with her two pups who totally held her heart. She loved her down time watching movies always with popcorn.

Her greatest passion was her family. How she loved Sunday Dinners… especially for Porcupine Meatballs. Sleep overs with Granny and visits with Nannie & Papa Rick eating many Confetti Squares in Spokane, going to country concerts (Keith Urban multiple times), and Stamps football games or visiting with her aunts… all these brought so much joy. Spending time together doing things with those she loved held the richest treasure.

Brent and Steph were planning to be married on October 1st of 2022 and were loving the experience of building a home and a life together. For all these things our shining star and the light in all our lives will be so deeply missed.

A Memorial Service will be held on June 13, 2022 at 1:00 pm at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, 1121 14 Ave. SW Calgary AB. Please wear masks. A Graveside Service will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery, 3219 4th Street N.W., Calgary, AB.
