Shing Moo was born on September 29, 1933 in Hoiping County City in Canton (now called Guangdong) Province in southern China. He was one of 4 siblings.
Tony immigrated to Calgary, Canada in the mid 1950's. In the early 1960’s he opened and owned the very successful Golden Lantern Chinese Restaurant.
Tony Sr. is survived by his wife Qing Mei their daughter Eva, also by his eldest children Tony Jr., Peter, Susan, James, Suna, Ben and Lyco as well as 4 grandchildren; Tammy, Tyler, Emily and Ethan.
Tony lived a full and prosperous life and was a respected member within the Calgary Chinese Community.
A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
