After a courageous battle with cancer, Rob passed away at home in the loving arms of his wife and two daughters. He is now at peace with his Lord and free from all pain and suffering.
Roberts’s family was the priority of his life and he cherished every lasting moment with each and every one of them.
Family, young and old, knew they could always count on his support, wisdom and advice if and when needed.
His warm smile always assured approval and his sincere love.
His wife, children and grandchildren were his focus and he was extremely proud of all of them.
Rob and Marg never missed a hockey game, dance recital, school event, band show or graduation.
Robert began his work career with the City of Calgary at the young age of 15 and retired after 40 years of dedicated service. He finished his working career as the Senior Supervisor of the Spy Hill Landfill.
One of Rob’s personal passions was his yard and garden. The flowers, plant pots and ornaments all created the sanctuary he loved. Every intricate piece in its place, tended with all his love and care.
Robert is lovingly remembered by his wife Margaret; daughters Beverly (Lindsay) and Karen (Dave); grandchildren Jason (Lisa), Jenna (Dave), Jordon, Taylor, Cassie and Cody; great-grandchildren Kaydence, Kayhler and Kayllem; brother Ken (Phyllis); sister Fay (Fred); as well as many nieces and nephews.
Robert is predeceased by his daughter Patricia Wilson; parents Katherine and Alexander Kromm; as well as siblings Helen Hamlin, Jim Kromm, Verna Press and Richard Kromm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. John Lutheran Church, 204 - 6A Street NE, Calgary, AB on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.
Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
