He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters, Sheila (Stuart Chow), Nancy (Ken Ohno), Judi and brother Alexander, nieces and nephews, Amanda and Ryan Chow and Allan and Alana Eng. Robert was predeceased by his parents, Dick and Eva Eng and grandmother, Mei Lon Chan.
Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Robert graduated from Crescent Heights High School and then went on to study at the University of Calgary. After graduation he spent his career working for the City of Calgary in the Parks and Recreation Department for more than twenty five years.
Robert found his passion for the game of football at an early age. First playing minor community football and continuing through junior high and high school. Shortly after Robert turned his talents to coaching, mentoring and even refereeing the game he so loved. While Rob loved football, the real legacy he leaves behind is being a kind and giving soul and a true friend to so many. Robert kept in touch with many of his childhood friends as well as always making new ones, organizing get-togethers in order to reconnect. He will be missed by so many.
