Rick is survived by his wife Rose Bicknell; his two children Kelly Golbeck (Gord) and Cory Bicknell (Nancy); and his two stepchildren Ashleigh Marin and Arnold Marin. He also is survived by his three brothers Dean Bicknell (Cathy), Colin Bicknell (Annette) and John Bicknell; and grandson Austin Golbeck; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Rick was predeceased by his mother Doris Bicknell, father George Bicknell, and sister Bonnie Corrigan.
Rick was born November 3, 1955 and lived his entire life here. He loved camping, playing golf, swimming, waterskiing, and travelling abroad. He also enjoyed the time he spent with friends for barbecues and sitting around the fire. Rick was also a fan of the Calgary Stampeders and New England Patriots.
On behalf of the family, we would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to the staff at the Southwood Hospice for taking such great care of Rick. He was very fond of all of you, your kindness, and care that was amazing.
A Visitation will be held at SOUTH CALGARY FUNERAL CENTRE, 12700 Macleod Trail South (at Lake Fraser Gate) on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
A Celebration of Rick’s Life will be held at SOUTH CALGARY FUNERAL CENTRE, 12700 Macleod Trail South (at Lake Fraser Gate), on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.
