Peggy Pick Seto

Peggy Pick Wa Seto, beloved mother and grandmother passed away at home peacefully on October 2, 2011. Peggy was born on September 18, 1937 in Toishan, Kwangtung, China to Chan Hung Tak and Kwong Yue Kwai. In her youth while living in both China and Hong King, she was surrounded by five siblings (Ken (deceased), Jeanette (deceased), Ruby, Linda, and Judy). She immigrated to Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1957 to marry Wey Ford Young Seto. Together, they raised five children in Calgary. Peggy was predeceased by her husband Wey Ford and eldest son Henry Wey. Surviving Peggy are her four children and their spouses: David (Kathleen), Fay Lynn (James), Johnny (Christel), Kim (Michael) and her daughter-in-law, Margie. Also surviving Peggy are her twelve grandchildren: Leslie, Sarah, Tamara (Tyler), Jonathan (Arlene), Stephen, David, Christopher, Anika, Heather, Alexander, Max, and Jack. She was a strong and independent woman who devoted her life to family yet taking the time to enjoy morning walks with friends. Her firm values, wisdom, and spirit will live within her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends as a kind hearted, active, and caring mother, grandmother, and friend. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER'S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 - 4 Street N.W. Calgary (across from Queen's Park Cemetery) on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
