With great sadness we announce that Norman (Norm) Jones passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on March 11, 2017 at the Rockyview Hospital. Norm is survived by his wife of 46 years Erene (Rene); his children Stephen (Carol), Mark (Debbie), Greg (Brenda), Catherine (Scott), Cody (Fiona); son-in-law John Beaudoin (Diane); ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and other extended family.
Norm was born July 2, 1927 in Lethbridge, Alberta; son to Stanley and Rosalie, and the youngest of three boys. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed spending time in the garden, golfing, traveling, and barbequing the perfect steak. His career in the oil patch spanned over 46 years starting with HeiLand Exploration, then Century Geophysical, Sinclair Canada Oil Co, CGG, and he concluded his career as President of Sigma Explorations. After retirement Norm and Rene spent winter months in Victoria, always returning to spend Christmas with the family in Calgary.
He was predeceased by his parents, brothers Gordon and Geoff, wife Catherine (Kay), and daughters Diane and Virginia. Norm will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Carriage House Inn, (9030 Macleod Trail South), on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
