Our mother immigrated to Canada in 1960 with her 2 children to be reunited with her husband after a 7 year separation. She was a good wife and mother of 6 children.
She was also a great gardener and enjoyed embroidering flowers. She loved flowers and her favourite flowers were peonies. Our mother shall be missed by her family.
Mon Tong is survived by and lovingly remembered by her children; Douglas (Virginia Wong), Linnie, Maylin, Dick, and Robert (Jessy Zhao); grandchildren, Cameron (Bonita Loke), Jade, and Amber; as well asby her great grandchildren, Gemma and Nora. She was predeceased by her husband, Bing Lee and eldest daughter, Betty.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at a visitation held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.
Interment will follow at Eden Brook Funeral Home & Cemetery, 24223 Township Rd 242, Calgary.
