Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Marvel (Loutit) Sadler came west to Calgary in 1958 to attend Baptist Leadership Training School. In 1959, she married Ernest Sadler, and together they raised their son Robert and daughter Jennifer.
Marvel pursued her passion for education at the University of Calgary, where she earned her Bachelor of Education degree. She dedicated her entire career to the Calgary Board of Education, shaping young minds at three different elementary schools.
In retirement, Marvel continued to serve her community as a member of Soroptimist Calgary and became a cherished White Hatter at the Calgary International Airport.
Her legacy of kindness, dedication, and service will forever be remembered by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
Marvel is lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband Ernest Sadler; her children, Robert Sadler, and Jennifer Sadler; grandchildren, Alica and Tyler Sadler; as well as two great-grandchildren, Maddie and Alex Wilson. She will also be missed by family members in Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa and Maryland, USA.
