Gino was born on March 14, 1949, as the youngest child of Antonio and Flora DiLello and was raised in a family of six children. Leaving his homeland of Italy in the year 1960, the family settled in Toronto and later moved to Calgary in 1976. Nine years later, he met the love of his life, Nancy, with whom he would share the next 35 years. They were blessed with two wonderful children, making their home in Calgary.
During their marriage, Gino was employed at KBM Commercial Floor Coverings, until his retirement in January of 2019.
Throughout his life, he was known for his generosity, kindness, and selflessness. His talents were many, spanning both sports and craftsmanship. The latter of which was evident in the beautiful work he created in his home.
His family was his utmost passion; he devoted himself to providing and caring for them every day of his life. His greatest joy came with the birth of his grandson, Wilder, in 2022, who will always be “Nonno’s big boy”. In the month of December, Gino will be blessed with a second grandson, who will carry his name, a tribute that will ensure his legacy lives on through the generations.
Gino leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife, Nancy, his son, Gradey (Melissa), his daughter, Meghan, his grandson, Wilder, his four-legged companion, Murphy, his sisters Maria (Mike), Paola (Vince), and his brother, Mike (Anna).
Gino was predeceased by his parents, Antonio and Flora, and his brothers, Guerino and Nicola.
Gino will be forever remembered for his unwavering love and dedication to his family.
