Lorraine was predeceased by her husband Albert in April 2015 of 57 years. Lorraine grew up in Winnipeg where her and Al spent their early years raising their family.
Lorraine worked part time for many years at Sears in the lighting department, giving her a little extra “mad” money. Mom loved her Bingo nights with her daughter and enjoyed the Slot machines too. Always had time for one more push. She loved bowling and was on numerous women’s bowling teams over the years. Lorraine on occasion would boast about her bowling awards and badges.
Lorraine and Al both loved to travel and spend time in their winter home in Yuma, Arizona prior to moving to Kelowna, BC in 2001.
Lorraine is survived by her daughter Cheryl (Rick) Neumann; sons Allan Henderson and David (Kristin) Henderson; grandchildren Andrew, Courtney Botting (Ryan), Robbie, Chelsey Tschosik (Ryan), Brent Neumann; and great-grandson Harrison Botting.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation and thanks to the staff at South Health Campus Hospital. The family takes solace knowing mom and dad are holding hands once again.
“What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us” – Helen Keller
