Lloyd was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and will always be remembered as a person who loved to laugh, accepted everyone and was respected and cherished by all who knew him. Always willing to provide support and guidance when asked, Lloyd provided a calmness to all. He truly was a gentle soul that never expressed anger or negative words. Lloyd lived life to support his family, was an avid golfer and a true sports fan. He always had interesting insights in global politics and it was a pleasure to have well thought discussions on the happenings on the world stage. Lloyd left an eternal legacy and will be dearly missed.
Lloyd’s 36 year career with CN Rail took him and his family across parts western Canada before his retirement to Vernon, BC. He spent 25 years in Vernon before relocating to Calgary to be closer to his family.
Lloyd is survived by Sonja, his wife of 64 years, as well as his children Gregory (Kathy) grand-daughter Riley, Gordon (Hilary) and Sandra. Lloyd is also survived by his sister Verna Stevenson. He is predeceased by his parents Mathew and Blanche, his sister Marguerite and his identical twin brother Lester.
The Keon Family would like to thank the Agape Hospice for their kind and gentle care of Lloyd over the final days of his life.
