Larry passed away peacefully in Invermere, BC on Friday, August 14, 2015. He was born in Vulcan, Alberta and moved to Calgary in 1953 where he resided until his passing. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Arthena; sons, Robbie (Pauline) and Randy (Diane); six cherished grandchildren, Alana, Aaron, Lanny, Stephanie (Michael), Zane and Jordy; three brothers, Jim (Myrna), Peter (Maureen) and Eldon; brothers-in-law, Arthur (Linde) Armstrong and Gordon (Mirka) Armstrong; sister-in-law Marion (Ron) Dick; Keith Wilson and numerous nieces and nephews. In 1964, he started Eskimo Refrigeration Ltd. and ran the company until the spring of 2015. Larry enjoyed family time at the lake, family trips, trucks, vehicles and anything with an engine. We would like to thank Dr. Jose Madrilejos and his Calgary staff, and Dr. Bill Brown along with the nursing staff at Invermere hospital for their kind and compassionate care. A Celebration of Larry's Life conducted by the Reverend Kyle Norman will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, #100, 119 14 St NW, Calgary, T2N 1Z6 or to the Arthritis Society, 1301 8th Street S.W., Calgary, T2R 1B7.
