Bob and Dorothy, Larry's family and friends:
I have been thinking about Larry a lot over the last month. Today, while at work,  I found myself tearing up on several occasions thinking about great memories of Larry and also what a tragedy his loss is. I am sorry I wasn't able to attend the memorial service to show my love and support in person.

My condolences to the both of you for the sudden and surprising loss of Larry. 

It’s been about thirty years, fresh out of high school, since Larry, John and I ventured off to university and lived together. I recall his smile, laughter and microwaved nachos. We ate a lot of those. There were a lot of hotdogs too. In school I remember chasing him around in the various sports we played over the years. He was always so damn good despite both of us being vertically challenged in what seemed like a world of giants back then. 

I hope both of you can find solace in the joy and memories. May Larry be at peace.

Dear Bob and Dorothy
All our family has wonderful memories of Larry. His death has left his many friends heartbroken. Karen and Larry were of course high school classmates and part of a large and close circle of friends.  I remember Larry's great smile, his boundless energy sense of humor, his upbeat personality and the respect with which he treated everyone.  I was privileged to know so many amazing young people - and Larry was definitely one of them.  The world is less without him.
We are unable to join you on Saturday and as luck would have it Mick will be in Montreal. In lieu of flowers we will donate to Animal Services.  Know that we hold you in our hearts with love and understanding.

Hi Bob and Dorothy,  we are very sad to here of the passing of Larry.  Our first memories of Larry started when we moved onto Laurier Drive and he was about 5years old.   We remember the boys  shooting rockets into the air in that field behind us.   We have you in our thoughts and prayers


We were so saddened to learn that Larry had passed away.   We have fond memories of him at Lac Pelletier especially, he had a most infectious smile and laugh.    We send our deepest condolences and thoughts and prayers. 

Zoria and I are very sad to hear of Larry’s passing. He visited us  at our cabin and always had a special friendly respectful manner to us.. and loved  and gave special attention  to our dog Obi.  He was someone I will always remember as a genuine helpful caring individual.

I am very saddened to learn of Larry’s passing. I met Larry on my first day at my first “grown-up” job, where we were going to be working on the same team. I was so nervous that day, but Larry immediately made me feel completely at ease and like a part of the team.  Larry was one of the loveliest people I’ve had the privilege of working with – his warmth, kindness and sincerity came straight from the heart and made our team feel more like family than coworkers. I will be doing my part to ensure that Larry’s example of kindness lives on in how I  treat others, especially new coworkers.  

Thinking of all of his loved ones at this time and hoping that you find comfort in your happy memories of Larry and knowing that he made a  lasting positive impact on many. 

Judy and I were deeply saddened to hear this news.  Please know that we are thinking of you.  The Dafoe family has a special place in our hearts.  

Bob and Dorothy, I am not certain if I've had the pleasure of meeting you, however I was a roommate of Darryl's in Saskatoon back in 1991-1992, along with Wayne, Dan and Richard K.  That's when I first got to know Larry.  Over the nearly 30 years since, I've been able to see Larry innumerable times at events with the Swift gang, and was always glad to spend time with him.  I've moved far away (now in Colorado), but was blessed to see Larry and the gang last fall at a dinner out in Calgary.  I always enjoyed Larry's company - such an easygoing and positive person (like his big brother was!).  I am so sorry for your loss, I truly can't imagine the difficulty of losing another son.   I have so many fond memories of both Larry, and Darryl.  I wanted you to know that both of your boys were fine men who had immeasurable impacts on many lives.  God rest their souls and my deepest sympathy on your loss.

My condolences to his family and friends.  I had the privilege of working with Larry while at Solium.  He was one of the kindest man I have ever met.  This is very sad.

I always loved this photo of Larry on the day he adopted his beloved Skye. A true animal lover, gentleman and a guy with one of the biggest hearts I’ve ever met. My deepest condolences to his parents.
