Kwok Wah Fung Wong (Teresa) was born in Hong Kong on October 26, 1962. She attended Rose Girls School for elementary, and Wellington English College for high school. After she graduated from high school, she worked for McGraw Hill Printing.
In 1983, she came to Canada with her family, and lived in Edmonton, Alberta. Teresa continued her education at Grant MacEwan University, where she studied Accounting. In 1983, Teresa started attending Church, and found her love in Jesus. Shortly after, in 1985, she was baptised. In 1990, Teresa and her family moved to Calgary, Alberta, where she worked for a Property Management Company as an accountant.
In 2008, Teresa married Matthew Wong. They began their journey together as husband and wife. They were incredibly happy together. Teresa also became a stepmom to three stepdaughters, a mother-in-law to 3 sons-in-law, and a grandmother to six beautiful grandsons, which love her very much. She took on these roles flawlessly, providing her new family with so much love and joy.
In April 2017, she was diagnosed with cancer. Her husband, Matthew, took exceptionally good care of her, and fought a strenuous battle alongside her for four years. Although she lost her battle, her strength, and her willingness to fight for her family will stay with us forever. Teresa passed away peacefully on March 20, 2021.
Teresa is a kind, loving and generous person. She has brought so much happiness to people in her life. Teresa’s positive nature, her contagious laughter and her respectful manners will never be forgotten.
