Kevin Clark, age 75, gratefully met his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, as he peacefully passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024. Kevin was born on November 14, 1949, in London, England. He was the third of four children born to his parents, Leslie and Erica Clark.
Kevin grew up in the county of Kent, England, where he attended Sir Roger Manwood Boarding School. He later pursued a diploma in the hospitality and culinary field, which led him to employment in the hotel industry in Bermuda. It was while working at Harmony Hall Hotel where he met his future wife, Patricia Clark, a Canadian, who was also working at the hotel. After marrying in 1972, they moved to Canada and settled down in Calgary, AB.
In 1976, Kevin was introduced to real estate where he pursued a long and rewarding career for the next 48 years with RE/MAX. Kevin served on the board of directors for the Calgary Real Estate Board (2001-2007), reaching the position of President in 2006, and was Chair of the Real Estate Council of Alberta in 2014. He was active on several committees and facilitated and taught numerous courses within the industry.
Kevin lived his life with unwavering devotion to his faith, his family, the church and his community. He was known for his kindness and wisdom, often encouraging deeper thinking and growth through conversation and scripture. His faith served as a guiding light, inspiring those around him to lead lives of purpose and compassion.
Together, with his family, Kevin attended the Calgary Church of Christ for the past 49 years, where he served as an elder for a number of years on two separate occasions. Kevin, with his wife Patti, believed in the spiritual and social benefits of healthy marriages which spurred them to lead and facilitate classes for couples through the Dynamic Marriages (His Needs Her Needs) training materials – the impact of their efforts led to hundreds of marriages being strengthened and blessed throughout Canada and the United States. More recently, Kevin was inspired to encourage grandparents in their roles of creating legacy through the Grandparenting Matters program.
Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Patricia Anne Clark; his son Jordan Clark, Jordan’s wife Kari Clark and their children Peyton and Bennett Clark; his daughter Nicola Mooney, Nicola’s husband James Mooney and their children Maggie, Lyla and Max; his sister, Tanya Brazil; his brother Malcolm, Malcolm’s wife Denyse Clark and their children Chelser, Chesney and Caline (and their families); his younger brother Stirling Clark; his brother-in-law Ken, Ken’s wife Kathy and son Andrew Clark.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents Leslie and Erica Clark, brother-in-law George Brazil, and grandchildren Andrew Benjamin and Piper Aliyah Clark, whom we believe were waiting with open arms for him at the Gates of Heaven.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held to honour Kevin’s life on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. (MST) at Foothills Alliance Church at 333 Edgepark Blvd. NW, Calgary, AB
