Ken was born in Yorkshire England and moved with his family to Calgary in 1981 with hopes of a different life. Prior to moving to Canada, Ken was proud to serve in the British Army for 12 years.
Ken had a passion for cooking and spent his career as a Chef working in various restaurants and hotels. A career highlight for Ken was working at the Historic Fairmont Palliser Hotel.
While in Canada, Ken developed a love for darts, even earning himself a place on Team Canada. Ken would spend hours listening to his beloved record collection while practicing and perfecting his dart game. Some favorites such as Willie Nelson, Heart and Motown will always remind us of him, and his love for darts.
If Ken wasn't practicing darts, you could find him at the local fishing hole (Dewitt's Pond). Ken enjoyed spending his summers fishing and sharing stories with the local fisherman.
These are just a few of our favourite things that remind us of Ken, a husband, father, granddad and friend.
Ken is survived by his wife Ann Wright of 52 years, children Martin (Mellissa) and Melanie and 9 grandchildren: Gracelyn, Rowan, Reece, Isabella, Emily, Oliver, Duncan, Olivia and Eli.
Your endless stories and love for life will truly be missed!
