With heavy hearts and more love than possible, we announce the sudden passing of Ken. His beloved partner and soul-mate Saundra, his siblings Connie and husband Dan, Sharon, Glenda and Keith and wife Lorna mourn his passing but know he is a better place free from the last months of pain.
Ken is also survived by his nephews and nieces, Joah and partner Emily, Lindsay and husband John, Nick and wife Lori, Asia and partner William, and Kaylin, as well as great nieces and nephews, Blair, Eve, Eloise, Micah and Griffin.
Also survived by numerous cousins on both his Mom’s and Dad’s side.
He was predeceased by his dad Bill, his sister Myrna and most recently his mother Bea in 2021 at the age of 101. Ken was his Mom’s caregiver in her last years.
Ken was born in Kerrobert, Saskatchewan and moved to the Calgary area in 1955, where he welcomed his next he next 4 siblings. And was the greatest big brother that anyone would want. He later moved to Calmar, Alberta, and worked in Edmonton. He then moved back to Calgary where he resided until passing. He became a Stampeder Fan and Supporter, leaving those relatives left in Saskatchewan to the Roughriders.
Ken and Saundra loved sports, especially the Blue Jays, hockey though Ken and Saundra cheered for different teams, but watched everything from horse racing and tennis to Nascar. There wasn’t a day when sports weren’t front and center in their lives.
Ken was known for his love of those close to him, his laughter and his pleasant disposition in everything he did.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
