Ken passed away peacefully on the evening of Saturday, December 25, 2021 in Calgary Alberta at the age of 91 years.
Ken was born the youngest of three children, born into a railroad family. His father, Stanley worked with CP Rail and his mother, Muriel, was a stay at home mom and a wonderful cook. His family moved often with CP Rail until his father received a permanent posting to Lethbridge, Alberta during Ken’s teenage years. After Ken attended university in Vancouver, British Columbia he began a career in the financial field and retired from CIBC in 1993.
Ken was married twice in his life. The first was to Connie Henning, with which he had two children, Sandi and Jay. Ken’s second marriage was to Mary Lou Mitchell in 1975 which lasted until his passing.
Ken leaves behind his loving wife, Mary Lou, his daughter Sandi Skinner (Neil) his son Jay, his stepchildren; Leslie Masters (Andrew), Dean Mitchell and Julie Mitchell (Peter) as well as numerous grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
