We have no words to describe how saddened we are about the sudden passing of our beloved Ken. Ken was an amazing and helpful friend to anyone lucky enough to have known him. People say he could fix anything and we often said "It's not broken until Dad can't fix it." He loved music, especially the “Grateful Dead” and to dance and sing (he had a song for everything.) Ken was an avid sports fan favoring the Calgary Flames and the Toronto Blue Jays. He had a true love for the outdoors, which he passed on to his daughters. We enjoyed many family camping trips and vacations. Ken was a true family man and will be deeply missed.
Ken was born in Val d'or, Quebec in 1956. He spent several years in Matagami, Quebec before moving to Calgary with a few friends in 1979. Ken held many jobs before his long career as a building operator for GWL Realty Advisors, previously Perimis and Oxford where he met many friends and esteemed colleagues.
He was a loving husband to his wife Deborah and proud father to his "two greatest accomplishments in life," his daughters, Haillie and Jessica. He is also survived by his mother Doris, brothers Mike (Sylvie) and family, Rick (Melanie) and family, sister Debbie (Frans) and family. Ken was predeceased by his father James, his brother Robert and his sister Pamela.
In this difficult time of the covid-19 pandemic, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
If friends so desire, memorial donations can be made to a charity of choice or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation at https://www.heartandstroke.ca.
May he rest in peace.
