Carol was born and raised in Toronto, went to Teachers' College and became a flight attendant for Trans Canada Airlines. She married in 1960, and moved out west eventually settling in Calgary. Carol taught with the Calgary Board of Education until her retirement. Her retirement years have been spent with friends and family, playing bridge, travelling and spending time with her companion Zeus and his special friend Barney. Carol will be lovingly remembered by her son, J. Alexander Duby, daughter, Clarende Duby (John Prance), grandsons Benjamin, Duncan and Jackson Prance, brother Bill Luzine (Joan), and many other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service was held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. If so desired, donations may be made directly to Junior Achievement of Southern Alberta; 870, 1202 Centre Street SE; Calgary, AB T2G 5A5, or a charity of one’s choice.
