It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend, Jack Abraham James Todd, on December 8, 2024.
Jack was a kind, caring, and sweet young man with a natural charisma and a wonderful sense of humor. He brought joy and light to everyone around him, leaving an unforgettable mark on the hearts of his family and friends.
Jack loved his family, especially his three younger brothers, Max, Aleksander, and Dominic, who adored him in return. Some of his happiest moments were traveling with his family to different countries, where he got to experience new cultures and try all kinds of new foods. Jack’s short but remarkable life was filled with fun adventures and special memories.
Jack had so many things he loved that made him who he was. He could spend hours building with Lego, exploring the worlds of The Legend of Zelda and Fortnite, or watching superhero movies. He was also a huge fan of Star Wars and loved rocking out to bands like AC/DC, Metallica, and Guns N’ Roses.
Jack will be deeply missed by his mom, Rita; his stepdad, Danil; his brothers - Max, Aleksander, and Dominic; his Baba Lana; Grandpa John; Grandma Marleen; Aunty Tan, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who were fortunate to know and love him.
Throughout his life, Jack was under diligent medical care of the Metabolic clinic at the Alberta Children’s Hospital, and later M.A.G.I.C Clinic. During his final months, Jack spent significant time at the Alberta Children’s Hospital, cared for by the incredible medical staff of the PICU, Unit 2, and the Cardiology Clinic. We express our deep gratitude to these skilled professionals, for the care Jack received and the emotional support they provided to us.
It was Jack’s heartfelt desire to one day give back to the hospital that supported him so lovingly.
To honor Jack’s compassionate spirit, we invite you to help fulfill his dream by donating to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation in his name at www.childrenshospital.ab.ca. Your contribution will celebrate Jack’s legacy of love, kindness, and generosity.
