Irene Marie McQuaig passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at the Rosedale Hospice in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 82 years.
Irene married Harvel McQuaig, her true love, at a young age. She followed Harvel through numerous military postings before finally settling in Calgary 58 years ago.
Irene is sadly missed by her daughter Sandra McQuaig Day (Gord Day); her grandchildren Austin Day and Tanner Day (Sandra Santillana); great grandchildren Arlo and Brooks; her son David McQuaig (Scott Janke, deceased). She is also survived by her older sister Lucille Lockwood of Las Vegas, Nevada. Irene is predeceased by her loving husband, Harvel McQuaig.
A Memorial Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 2:00 PM.
Irene’s urn will be interred at Queen’s Park Cemetery following her service.
