Greg (Jr.) was born in the Prince Albert, SK, on October 15, 1980 and passed away peacefully at home on July 13, 2020. Left to mourn are his parents, Josephine and Greg (Sr.); sister Sara (Grant) and niece Sadie; sister Erin (Willy); nephew Will and niece Isla. Also left to mourn are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Greg was predeceased by grandparents Patrick and Maggie McBennett (of Ireland) and William and Audrey Parchello (of New Brunswick).
Greg grew up in Prince Albert and made many lifelong friends. He played baseball, volleyball, and was an outstanding goalie in soccer and hockey. He also loved to fish at Morning Lake in the Churchill River system catching many pickerel and northern pike.
In 1995, Greg moved to Grande Prairie, Alberta with his parents. In Grand Prairie, Greg was a member of the freestyle ski team. It was amazing to watch him blast through moguls in the Rocky Mountain ski resorts.
Again, he continued to add to his list of close friends. Following graduation from high school, Greg moved with his parents to the USA in 2000. Greg attended East Mississippi community college where he developed his love for computers. There, he worked as a service consultant for a computer company in Starkville, Mississippi.
Greg was a world traveler: Thailand, Australia, Costa Rica, England, Hawaii, and Ireland. When Greg returned to live in Calgary in 2007, he came proud owner of his computer repair business, the Computer Midwife.
Greg was fearless and his youthful bravado was disarming at times. He was an aspiring comedian and also served as an extra on movie and TV series being filmed in the Calgary area.
Greg leaves a deep void in the hearts of his family and friends.
